History

Xeneuxe was founded in 2004 by a 14 year old high school student from Puerto Rico named Christian Maymi who had passion for video editing and web designing. Before he thought about creating his own business, he was always bringing new ideas to be implemented in the world of technology. One day, one of his friends told him about a game he made using a simple software and that he had published it in a webpage prepared by him. When Christian went to his friends webpage, he was amazed about the things he had done using the software. He was curious of how his friend did it, so he asked him for the tools needed to start building his own webpage and game.

After his friend told him, Christian started working on a webpage called Spritesc. At first, the webpage was intended to be a place where game developers went to look for images containing characters from different games. Unfortunately, the page never worked out. That's when Christian decided to use his webpage for other uses like downloadable media. His webpage failed as well on the second attempt, so Christian then decided to abandon his page and continue to learn other things about computers.

Little by little, he kept gaining knowledge in computers and started to be passionate about them. After creating a few sketches with different projects, he then realized that he could do all of them in one place. That’s when Christian started thinking about creating his own business. The minute he thought about it, he new that he was destined to create one, so he started thinking about names for his business. Christian started creating names with all the letters of the alphabet, starting with the letter A. During his brainstorm, he thought about names like "Azeus", "Zenon", etc.

Christian finally came up with the name "Xeneuxe". He thought that it was the perfect name for his business, and the thing he liked most about that name was that it sounded professional and modern. When Christian first told everyone the name he came up with, people asked him where the name had come from and what it meant. He always explained that it came from the alphabet and it didn't mean anything. A few months passed and he was assigned to create a movie for one of his classes.

That's when he used that opportunity to present his business for the first time. Christian created the first logo of Xeneuxe to be shown in the movie he was making. The logo was used for almost 4 years and it was never registered:

After showing the movie to everyone, people started to recognize Christian for his ability in video design. They liked the movie so much that he then was asked to give his service to others. He made a few movies and since then, everyone recognized Christian as "Xeneuxe".

Years passed and he left the video editing business to enter the world of graphic design. He was hired to do a few designs and presentations, but it wasn't until October 2008 that with the help of his father, "Luis A. Maymi", Christian finally had the chance to register the name "Xeneuxe" in the Department of State in Puerto Rico. He also created a new logo that at first he had a sketch of how he wanted the logo to be. A few people liked the original better, but he kept modifying the logo until a similar one to the actual one was done. With a few modifications, the final logo was made.

The first webpage of Xeneuxe, "Xeneuxe.com", was made the same year he registered the name. When he first started college in 2008, he joined his brother "Luis Oscar Maymi", who gained knoledge in the field of video editing and video recording, and his parents, "Luis A. Maymi" and "Irma Lopez" to keep managing the business together. Right now, Luis and Christian have different plans that they guarantee will take the business to a higher level recognized worldwide. As for Luis A. Maymi and Irma Lopez, they keep supervising the business as co-owners of the name "Xeneuxe"
